Vietnam, Laos deepen great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam, his spouse, and a high-ranking delegation of Vietnam are scheduled to pay a state visit to Laos and attend a ceremony marking the 50th National Day of Laos next Monday and Tuesday.

During the trip, the Vietnamese leader will also co-chair a high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
The visit was made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam said that the upcoming visit by General Secretary To Lam holds historic significance and special importance for the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.
“The visit is a historic diplomatic activity, reflecting the respect, profound attention, close affection and mutual support between the two Parties, the two States and the Peoples of both countries. It helps strengthen political trust, enhance comprehensive cooperation and open up new directions for cooperation between the two countries in the new era. Through the visit, both sides once again will affirm their continued inheritance and promotion of traditions and deepen bilateral ties,” said Tam.
During the visit, the two sides are expected to brief each other on the situation of the Party and the country, discuss the regional and global developments of mutual concern, and set out orientations for future cooperation.
