(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese national men’s football team remained top of Group G in the Asian region’s second qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup following two group matches being played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday.

Vietnam are currently top of the group with 11 points, followed by the UAE on nine points.
Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia are in third, fourth, and fifth place in Group G.
The national squad are scheduled to take on Indonesia on June 7, Malaysia on June 11, and the UAE on June 15.
