Vietnam marks Buddha’s birthday

(VOVWORLD) - A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security led by deputy minister Bui Van Nam congratulated Buddhists on Buddha’s 2562nd birthday while visiting the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi on Tuesday.

 Mr. Nam spoke highly of contributions of the Sangha to the national revolution and to national public security forces. He said he hopes the Sangha and Buddhist monks, nuns, and followers will continue to contribute to national solidarity, construction, and defense, and improving people’s life.

The same day, leaders of Vinh Long province visited and congratulated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s branch in the province. Superior monk Thich Nhu Tuoc thanked the Vinh Long authorities and expressed his belief that the province will build on its achievements and continue to grow strongly.
