The 2-day teleconference, which opened on Monday, is chaired by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. 

On Monday, Mr. Phuc said a number of tough goals were met, including a GDP growth rate of more than 7%, exceeding the GDP target of between 6.6 and 6.8 %. The Vietnamese economy surpassed 262 billion USD in 2019, Mr. Phuc said.

“I want to hear opinions from industries and localities that focus on outcomes and obstacles so that we can work closely together to maintain advantages and improve resource allocation. We must create breakthroughs in 2020,” PM said.
