Vietnamese runner wins Southeast Asia Trail Running Cup

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese runner Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh finished first in the women’s race at the classic mountain climbing distance of 12.8 kilometers at the Southeast Asia Trail Running Cup held in the Philippines.

She finished in 1 hour 45 minutes. Another Vietnamese runner Vu Duc Huy finished the race in 1 hour 23 minutes, ranking first from the over‑20 age group and second overall.

The Southeast Asia Trail Running Cup was organized by the Southeast Asian Trail Running Confederation and the Philippine Trail Running Association in Bontoc, Mountain Province, from June 19‑23, 2024.

The tournament was held for the first time and is expected to take place every two years.
