Vietnam on track with international integration

(VOVworld) – Vietnam has been on the right track with its economic development and international integration since President Ho Chi Minh delivered the Vietnam Declaration of Independence 68 years ago establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The statement was made by Ambassador Nguyen Trung Thanh, Head of the Vietnamese diplomatic mission to the United Nations, during his opening address at a reception hosted on Tuesday by the mission, the World Trade Organization, and other international organizations in Geneva for diplomats of the UN, the World Trade Organization, the World Health Organization, the Human Rights Council, and missions in Geneva.

He told participants that Vietnam is intensifying its reform and international integration, becoming a reliable partner of the world community. Vietnam has maintained its growth rate of 5% amid the current global economic difficulties. Yet, many challenges are still awaiting Vietnam, requiring it to restructure its financial system and integrate more deeply into the global economy. It’s undeniable that Vietnam is interacting with the entire world and pursuing an open, transparent financial mechanism which is in line with the requirements of a new integrated world.
