(VOVworld)-Vietnam’s ambassador to the US Nguyen Quoc Cuong, just finished a three-day visit to the State of Utah. During his trip, he met with local officials, parliamentarians, religious leaders and representatives from universities in the State to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Utah. The Ambassador met with Governor Gary Herbert and Senator Orrin Hatch and representatives from more than 50 leading enterprises. They discussed prospects for cooperation between both countries, as well as between Utah and Vietnam. Ambassador Cuong also met with leaders from the Mormon Church in Salt Lake City. He informed their leaders about Vietnam’s religious policies and they agreed that all Mormons should respect the State’s laws and good citizens. Over the past five years, two-way trade between Vietnam and Utah has increased by more than 200 percent, according to statistics released by the Governor’s Office.
