Vietnam ready to work with Republic of Korea to fight Covid-19 epidemic

(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnamese government has decided to suspend its unilateral exemption of visa for citizens from the Republic of Korea, effective from 0:00 am on February 29, amid complicated developments of the new coronavirus outbreak in Daegu city and Gyeongsangbuk province, which prompted the Republic of Korea to raise its contagious disease alert to the highest level, said  Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang on Friday.

She added this is a temporary measure to prevent the epidemic from spreading and protect the health of the two countries’ people. Vietnam has informed the Korean side and expressed readiness to share and closely work with the Republic of Korea in preventing and controlling the epidemic, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.
