Vietnam reports no community cases of COVID-19 for 45 days

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 overnight and the country has remained unchanged in its case numbers of 328, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control announced Sunday morning.

There has been no community transmission of the disease in the country for 45 consecutive days.

In total, 188 of those confirmed cases were classed as "imported" which were quarantined after arrival in Viet Nam.

Overall, 279 patients, or 85 percent of the total confirmed cases in Viet Nam, have recovered from the disease, and there have been no coronavirus deaths in Viet Nam till date.

The remaining 49 are receiving treatment at health facilities nationwide, of whom, nine have tested negative for the virus once, and 17 negative at least twice.
