Vietnam, Republic of Korea boost cooperation in crime combat

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has called on Vietnam and the Republic of Korea to strengthen cooperation in the fight against crimes.

At Tuesday’s reception in Hanoi for visiting Prosecutor General Moon Moo-il of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Binh said he hopes that the RoK will assist Vietnam in studying legal institutions, training prosecutors, and applying modern technology in criminal management.

Mr. Moon said the Republic of Korea is ready to share its experience with Vietnam in anti-corruption and expressed his hope that Vietnam will support the Republic of Korea in building a peace mechanism for the Korean peninsula.

Mr. Binh affirmed that the inter-Korean relations have improved and that Vietnam always supports and holds responsibility for helping build the Korean peninsula of peace, cooperation, and development.
