(VOVworld) - The 19^th session of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee for Economic-Commercial and Scientific-Technological Cooperation took place in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Wednesday.

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov headed the two delegations (VNA)

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung and Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov headed the two delegations. They discussed implementation of the MoU reached during the 18^th session and agreed that cooperation in economics, trade, and investment between Vietnam and Russia over the past year has achieved significant results.  Dung said the 19^th session agreed on many issues related to economics, trade, investment, agriculture, and oil and gas. Shuvalov said he hopes agreement will be reached on cooperation mechanisms in banking, construction, energy, and tourism.
