Vietnam seafood exports likely to reach 11 billion USD in 2025
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s seafood exports slowed in the third quarter due to US tariff pressure, but the industry maintains resilience to hit 11 billion USD in 2025, meeting the yearly target of a 10-15% increase compared to 2024, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

VASEP said the US market consumed 1.66 billion USD over the first 10 months, while the Chinese market exceeded 2 billion USD during the same period, up 32%. Besides Canada, Australia, and Japan markets, which continued to grow rapidly, seafood exports to the European Union reached 500 million USD.
Shrimp remained the leading export item, earning more than 3.9 billion USD in the 10-month period. Pangasius ranked second with about USD 1.8 billion.
