Vietnam shares anti-terrorism cooperation orientation with BRICS

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam condemns and opposes all acts of terrorism and supports measures to eliminate terrorism from human life, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said at the BRICS+ Anti-Terrorism Conference in Moscow on Wednesday.

Mr. Tung shared key measures and solutions to combat terrorism, eliminate the causes and conditions for terrorism, and stop radicalization within the community.
Measures include improving welfare policies and people's lives; increasing communications; perfecting a legal framework for counter-terrorism; improving the capacity of specialized forces; and diversifying international cooperation activities with BRICS and other organizations.
The two-day conference, themed "National and regional strategies for combating terrorism in the context of emerging challenges and threats", is the first initiative hosted by Russia.
It drew representatives from 23 BRICS member and partner countries, as well as international organizations.
