(VOVworld) – The fifth ASEAN School Games will be held over one week, starting from this Friday in Hanoi.

 The information was released at a press conference by the Game’s Organizing Board in Hanoi on Monday. The event is expected to attract 1,500 athletes and coaches from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. 248 Vietnamese athletes will take part in this event competing in 9 events. The ASEAN School Games is an annual sporting event which aims to enhance friendship and solidarity among countries in the region.
