Chairing a government meeting in Hanoi on Friday, Mr. Phuc asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese Embassies to encourage Vietnamese expats to stay in their host countries to enjoy necessary healthcare benefits. If they want to return home, they must wait for flights to be arranged for them. When entering Vietnam, all must undergo a quarantine period under the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Any acts of avoiding quarantine must be strictly dealt with.

The Prime Minister stressed the determination to prevent the pandemic from further penetrating into Vietnam, while intensifying communications, isolation, and treatment of patients.

He urged people to refrain from visiting public places and called on the whole political system to join efforts with the Ministry of Health, army, and police to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
