Vietnam, UK look to elevate ties to new heights
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam always attaches great importance to and gives special attention to deepening and advancing the Vietnam-UK Strategic Partnership to a new stage of development, Party General Secretary To Lam said during a reception in Hanoi on Friday for British Ambassador to Vietnam Iain Frew.

Mr. Lam noted that there remains great potential for further development of bilateral relations, particularly in defence and security, finance and banking, education and training, science and technology, labour, energy transition and climate change response.
Ambassador Frew reaffirmed that the UK considers Vietnam one of its most important partners in the region. He said he believes that high-level delegation exchanges between the two countries will serve as a strong driving force to elevate bilateral cooperation to new heights.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to continued close coordination in bilateral and multilateral frameworks, particularly within the United Nations, and to jointly promoting peace, stability, security and cooperation in the region.
