Vietnam, UK strengthen cooperation in combating human trafficking, illegal migration

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security supports and is committed to cooperating with the UK in fighting human trafficking and illegal migration, Minister Luong Tam Quang told the UK’s Secretary of State for the Home Department Yvette Cooper in a phone talk on Thursday.

Minister Quang said the two sides have been working closely together in combating crime, managing migration and border control, and fighting human trafficking and illegal migration.

They have regularly shared information and effectively implemented an MoU on migration issues and another on fighting human trafficking.

Both sides agreed to continue realizing their signed cooperation agreements and

pledged to continue to implement their joint declaration on cooperation in migration, immigration management, and combating human trafficking.
