Mr. Greer praised the two countries’ agreement on the joint statement on a fair and balanced reciprocal trade framework, calling it a solid foundation for concluding negotiations. He also commended Vietnam’s constructive and systematic approach to US proposals.

Minister Dien reaffirmed Vietnam’s determination to build a balanced and sustainable economic relationship with the US. He said the agreement would strengthen bilateral ties across multiple sectors, in line with the Vietnam–US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and proposed practical and flexible approaches for mutual benefit.
