(VOVworld) – In the first 6 months of this year, Vietnam welcomed more than 4.7 million foreign visitors, an increase of 21.3 percent compared to the same period last year.

In the reviewed period, there were 32 million domestic visitors. The revenue from tourism was estimated to reach around 9 million USD. In June alone, about 700,000 foreign arrivals were reported, up 30 percent against last year. Vietnam set a target of welcoming 8.5 million foreign visitors and 60 million domestic tourists and gain a revenue of 16.6 billion USD from tourism this year.
