At a meeting with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone in Vientiane, Chairman Man said Vietnam always gives top priority to its special traditional ties with Laos. He expressed his desire to deepen bilateral ties between the two countries and legislatures in a practical and effective manner.

He said the Vietnamese NA will continue its close coordination with its Lao counterpart to create favorable legal corridors for the two Governments to fruitfully carry out high-level agreements between the two Politburos, oversee implementation of government agreements, and perfect institutions and policies to facilitate joint investment projects.

Mr. Man urged the two countries to share information and experience related to development, ensure macroeconomic stability, expand external relations, and improve international integration.

The Lao PM encouraged the two Assemblies to continue their cooperation and the implementation of treaties and agreements so as to put their economic, trade, and investment partnership on a par with their sound political relations.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with Pany Yathotou, Vice President and former Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly, on Thursday to discuss bilateral cooperation results and future direction.
