Vietnam wants to expand multifaceted relations with other countries’ parliaments

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man’s attendance at the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-45) will continue to implement Vietnam’s policy of integrating into the world, expand its multilateral diplomacy, promote priorities, and enhance the legislature’s role in, and its practical contributions to regional and global parliamentary cooperation mechanisms.

The trip will also affirm the role and contributions of the Vietnamese National Assembly to AIPA, its support for Laos as AIPA Chair, and Vietnamese efforts to strengthen solidarity and centrality of ASEAN and promote relations between AIPA and its partners to build the ASEAN community and uphold AIPA’s responsibility for peace, stability and development. Chairman Man will deliver a speech at the first plenary session.

Mr. Man will meet with leaders of parliaments inside and outside the region to strengthen the relationship between the Vietnamese National Assembly and AIPA member parliaments and observers attending the General Assembly.
