Vietnam wins golds at Taekwondo Poomsae Championships 2024

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese martial artists claimed their second gold medal on the third day of the ongoing World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Hong Kong (China).

Chau Tuyet Van, Nguyen Thi Le Kim, and Lien Thi Tuyet Mai triumphed in the U50 Female Team category after defeating the Republic of Korea in the final in a highly competitive performance.

The Vietnamese team’s first gold medal was in the over-17 freestyle mixed category on the first day  of competition last Saturday. That was Vietnam’s first gold at the championship since 2016.

The championship in Hong Kong has drawn 1,700 athletes from 77 countries and territories. Vietnam sent 47 athletes to the tournament, which will end on Wednesday.
