(VOVworld) – Senior Vietnamese party and state leaders on Friday sent messages of congratulation to Cambodian officials on Cambodia’s 60^th Independence Day on November 9th. Vietnam’s leaders expressed their delight at the achievements of the Cambodian people in the 60 years of national construction and development as well as the success of Cambodia’s recent parliamentary elections. They said they believed that the people of Cambodia would continue to realize major achievements on the path towards building a peaceful and stable Cambodia with an increased role in the region and the world. Vietnamese leaders also hoped that the good neighborliness and traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia would continue to flourish in the coming years.

A ceremony to celebrate Cambodia’s Independence Day was held in Ho Chi Minh city on the same day.
