Than Duc Viet, General Director of its Garment 10 Corporation, told VOV that the company’s employees haven’t had a day off.  More than 12,000 workers and officers in its 18 factories in seven provinces and cities have had plenty of work.

“We’ve achieved our revenue targets. Revenue from exports accounted for 80% and the rest was from the domestic market. Employee income was 8.5% higher than last year and 5% higher than in 2019,” according to Viet.

Garment 10 has contracts to export to the US, Europe, and Japan until the end of the second quarter of next year, said Viet, calling it a very positive signal to begin a new year with high expectations.

“We set a growth target for 2022 much higher than the target in previous years. In the past, we set an average growth rate between 10 and 15%. In 2022 it will be 20 to 25%. We believe that what we have done over the past two years, despite the pandemic difficulties, will give us more confidence in 2022,” said Viet.

According to statistics released by the General Statistics Office on Wednesday, Vietnam is expected to earn 39 billion USD from textile and garment exports in 2021, up 11.2% from 2020 and up 0.3% from 2019, before the pandemic.
