Organizers were Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Vietnamese embassy in Russia. Lai Ngoc Doan of the embassy said the forum was held at a time when the Vietnam–Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) free trade agreement has just come into effect from October 5.

Bui Thi Thanh An, Deputy Head of the Trade Promotion Department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said: “The forum is an appropriate venue for Vietnamese and Russian enterprises to seek business opportunities and establish partnerships. This was also an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to introduce their high-quality products at competitive prices”.

The participants discussed trade cooperation between Vietnam and Russia and proposed measures to resolve difficulties for businesses, and to make full use of the Vietnam–Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) free trade agreement.

A similar event will be held in Saint Petersburg city, Russia, on Friday.
