Vietnam’s logistics sector seeks double-digit growth in 2025
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Chinh said Vietnam will focus on creating conditions for the development of logistics infrastructure to enable the logistics sector to achieve double-digit growth next year.

Mr. Chinh made the remarks while attending the Vietnam Logistics Forum 2024 held on Monday in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. He said logistics costs need to be reduced from 18% to 15% of GDP in 2025, while the value of logistics should rise from 10% to 15% of GDP. Vietnam's logistics should increase to 0.5% of the world’s logistics, according to the PM.
Mr. Chinh said people should be aware of the importance of logistics in national development, and better understand the position and role of Vietnam in the world, to build a modern, smooth logistics infrastructure; to reduce input costs; to increase product competitiveness.
He also emphasized the need to build smart governance; to promote logistics diplomacy while promoting and modernizing logistics domestically; to build and develop a free trade nation; and to closely connect air, maritime, railway, inland waterway, and expressway transport modes to connect free trade zones and international transport systems.
