Vietnam’s National Day observed in Australia, Thailand

(VOVworld) - The Vietnamese Consulate General in Sydney on Tuesday held a ceremony to mark the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution on August 19th and the National Day on September 2nd in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Addressing the ceremony, Consul General Mai Phuoc Dung reviewed the great achievements of the Vietnamese people over the past 68 years and highlighted Vietnamese-Australian relations in all fields. New South Wales Governor Professor Marie Bashir hailed Vietnam’s achievements, the fine relationship between the two countries, and the contribution of the Vietnamese community to local development.

The same day, Lao Ambassador to Thailand Ly Bounkham led a delegation to the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangkok to offer congratulations for the special occasion. He congratulated the Vietnamese Party, State, and people for their great achievements during the course of national construction and defense. He wished Vietnam and Laos a long-lasting special friendship.
