(VOVworld)-The World Bank (WB) will continue to assist Vietnam in coping with the risks of urban flooding through loans, technology support and analysis. The WB said on Tuesday that Vietnam is among the countries most vulnerable to natural disasters, especially floods, due to rapid urbanisation. The global lender recommended that Vietnam integrate flood risk management into regular planning of cities and towns. The WB has provided 161 million USD to a project on natural disasters management in Vietnam, aiming to improve the disaster warning system as well as disaster mitigation infrastructure.
