At a press conference on Wednesday, US President Barack Obama insisted the landmark Iran nuclear agreement is the best way to avoid a nuclear arms race and more war in the Middle East. He said without a deal there would be no limits to Iran's nuclear program and Iran could move closer to a nuclear bomb. Mr. Obama added that if US leaders do not seize the opportunity for a deal, future generations will judge them harshly. President Obama is trying to persuade legislators, particularly Republicans, to support and approve the deal, but says he is ready to use his veto power if Congress rejects it.
