World Bank forecasts Vietnam growth of 5.5 percent in 2013

(VOV) – Vietnam’s economy will grow 5.2 percent in 2012 and 5.5 percent in 2013, according to a World Bank report announced at a press conference for a meeting of the Consultative Group of Donors yesterday in Hanoi.

The report praised the Vietnamese government’s policies to stabilize the economy. Vietnam’s foreign currency reserve has increased over the past 3 quarters, and the foreign currency exchange rate has been stabilized. Vietnam has also made great improvement in its balance of payment and has a trade plus for the first time. This is a positive progress despite world economic difficulties.
