To date, Yen Bai has built almost 95% of the total houses needed. A number of localities, such as Nghia Lo town and Tram Tau mountainous district, have started construction of all the houses as planned.
Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Deputy Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee, said that Yen Bai will further direct localities to support households to build houses, ensuring the program completion on schedule.
“Yen Bai is striving to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of June this year,” said Hanh, adding, “Despite many difficulties compared to other mountain localities, Yen Bai has allocated remarkable resources and always received attention and support from organizations, businesses, and individuals to jointly remove makeshift and dilapidated houses.”
