The exhibition was opened on his death anniversary October 5th. There are portraits of Steve Jobs, Jobs and his son and colleagues, and a 2-meter-tall bust of Jobs made of steel and composite. The artistic project was initiated by Dr. Nguyen Duc Tien, an economist and Steve Jobs fan. Since Jobs’ death October 5 last year, Tien has worked on the project with painter Bui Van Khoa. "In term of painting, the colors of the paintings are unique and elaborate. The paintings have harmonized content, lay-out, and lines reflecting different aspects," Khoa says

The “Think different” exhibition has outlined Steve Jobs’ influence in international information and technology with the Apple's iconic logo, a stylized, solid white apple missing a bite on one side. Economist Nguyen Duc Tien says there are a number of books, magazines, and films about Steve Jobs, but reliving his life and career through paintings is unique in the world. "I and my colleagues wish to reflect the most outstanding features and milestones in Steve Jobs’ life in association with 7 industrial revolutions in the US, which has been recognized worldwide. They have been industrial revolutions since 1977 to 2012 of personal computer, music, 3D cartoon, mobile phone, tablet, printing, and publication", Tien shares his ideas.

The exhibition has introduced to art-lovers Steve Jobs’ philosophy of life, innovation, and business. "We wish to convey three messages including our acknowledgement and gratitude for Steve Jobs’ contributions to the community. We hope the young Vietnamese to prepare themselves with job skills to be able to create practical products for society. We want to join in Vietnam’s contemporary art, which is making its way to the world."

Visitors to “Think different” exhibition have an opportunity to contemplate artistic values and deep implications in each painting. The Vision reflects Jobs’ design and business views of creating a unique and friendly product for the majority although the cost is rather high. The Pisces 2 conveys a message: with an alien thinking and desire to act, you can change impossible thinks. "To bring an information and technology figure into art works is difficult. Because we want the audience to see the reality through art. My first painting reflects Steve Jobs’ eyes, which open limitless prospects of technology. With each painting, I have thoroughly studied the colors, lay-out, and content associated with Jobs’ successes," Khoa elaborates.

Steven Paul Jobs (1955-2011) was a Syrian-American entrepreneur and widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer of the personal computer revolution and for his influential innovations in the computer and consumer electronics fields.
