Tuy Loan market in Hoa Phong commune, Hoa Vang district, was chosen to implement the cashless payment market model.
Youth Union members and other young people in Hoa Vang district and banks in Da Nang city have jointly disseminated the model to business households and helped them open accounts and set up QR codes for 250 small traders.
Le Thi Thuy Linh, a grocery retailer at Tuy Loan market, said that digital transformation improves business activities.
“Now many people use apps to make payments, leading to fewer cash transactions. Business households have been shown by union members and other young people how to avoid using cash. I find it very convenient. Online business helps us sell more products,” said Linh.
Using non-cash payment helps consumers adapt to modern payment methods and stimulates shopping. Teams of volunteers are guiding people in the use of online public services.
Dinh Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Chairman of the Youth Union of Hoa Vang district, said young people are using social networks to support the Union's activities.
“We have helped people and small traders make cashless payments and elderly Party members use digital transformation in Party building work. Mobile teams for citizen support, part of a smart public relations model, perform online public services and register personal identification accounts and citizen identification cards to help people embrace digital transformation,” Hieu explained.

Da Nang city has 2,500 digital technology teams with 15,000 volunteers, including many Youth Union members.
Team members teach people to set up digital social insurance, health insurance, health books, bank accounts, household registration books, and ID cards, make cashless payments, and access other online services.
“The Da Nang Youth Union is promoting the ‘Digital mass education’ movement by participating in a project to develop apps in population data and electronic identification and authentication. Young people are taking the lead in digital transformation and innovation,” said Le Cong Hung, Secretary of the municipal Youth Union.
