500 Vietnamese and foreign businesses to attend Binh Dinh investment promotion conference

(VOVWORLD) - About 500 Vietnamese and foreign businesses and 1,000 delegates from ministries, sectors, embassies, foreign organizations, and business associations will attend the Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Conference 2024 in Quy Nhon city on Friday, said the provincial Department of Planning and Investment.

11 billionaires from Thailand, South Korea, Singapore, the UAE, Israel, Sweden, and Mexico will also attend the conference and the opening ceremony of the World Powerboat Tournament– UIM F1H2O World Championship.

During the conference, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, Vietnam Airlines, and Binh Dinh F1 Joint Stock Company are scheduled to sign a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation in the 2024-2028 period.

The provincial People's Committee will hand over cooperation agreements and investment memoranda to 6 investors of 18 projects and investment registration certificates to 5 projects.

There will also an exhibition of Binh Dinh’s OCOP products, tours to Nhon Hoi economic zone, industrial parks, and tourist attractions, and meetings between provincial leaders and foreign investors.

Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee, said: “Roads connecting the South-North and East-West axis and inter-regional and inter-district connections have been basically completed which is an advantage for the province to attract investment. Human resource is another local advantage. 50% of our workforce are young, trained people. Every year, we have from 29,000 to 30,000 workers trained at businesses."

To prepare for large projects, Binh Dinh province has upgraded its industrial infrastructure. It has Nhon Hoi economic zone, 7 industrial parks, and 68 industrial clusters.

In 2023, Binh Dinh province ranked 18 out of 63 provinces and centrally-run cities in terms of competitiveness index, while securing the top position in terms of satisfaction among its residents and businesses.
