The race is part of the efforts to preserve and promote local customs, traditions, and culture and encourage fishermen to develop Vietnam’s marine economy and protect national sea and island sovereignty.

Mr. Bui Trung Hieu, Deputy Head of Binh Dinh province’s Department of Culture and Sports, said: “The 2024 Open Binh Dinh Boat Race is an opportunity for young local people to improve their health and contribute to national development. The race and the 2024 Amazing Binh Dinh Fest help promote the image of Quy Nhon city’s marine tourism."
