The workshop included an exhibit of publications about corruption prevention in Vietnam and other countries. Delegates agreed that the involvement of the entire society is crucial to increasing the effectiveness of corruption prevention activities and that it is important to increase publicity and transparency in state agencies and public administrations, boost administrative reform, and increase the responsibility of agency managers. Huynh Phong Tranh, Chief Government Inspector, said: “Corruption prevention has not been as effective as expected in recent years. We should continue to improve the legal system and pay more attention to sensitive areas that are prone to corruption. The role of the people should be enhanced to prevent corruption.”
