(VOVWORLD) - Updates on digital transformation and resource connection to form a national digital ecosystem and promote a more effective digital transformation in Vietnam were high on the agenda of a forum in Hanoi on Thursday.

Entitled "Creating value from data strategies in the context of AI”, the forum was held by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association and a number of organizations in Hanoi on Thursday to promote national digital transformation.
The participants discussed policies and legal frameworks for developing a national data strategy and shared experience in digital transformation at large corporations, and building product ecosystems and creating product value from data, and data-driven decision-making capabilities. Other topics were data safety and security solutions in the context of AI.
Tran Tinh Minh Triet, Director of Vietnam SAP Solutions Company, said: "We have 3 steps to build a database. First, we have to know what data we need and where to get it. Second, we have to manage data. Third we have to take advantage of our data to make in-depth analysis and forecast what business opportunities we may have and what problems we have to resolve in the current process.”
Digital transformation is a major policy of the Party and State and has been mentioned in the Politburo’s Resolution 52 on a number of guidelines and policies to actively participate in the 4th Industrial Revolution. The National Committee for Digital Transformation chooses 2023 as the Year of National Digital Data.
