(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the Government’s regular September meeting and an online conference between the Government and localities nationwide at the Government Office in Hanoi on Sunday.

Addressing the conference, the Prime Minister said Vietnam’s socio-economic performance in the first nine months of 2025 was stronger than the same period last year with macroeconomic stability being maintained, inflation kept under control, major economic balances ensured, and growth vigorously promoted. During the reviewed period, cultural, social, and welfare policies were well implemented, people’s material and spiritual lives improved, political and social stability was maintained, national defense and security were consolidated, and external relations and international integration advanced.

The Prime Minister emphasized that despite existing challenges, Vietnam is targeting a growth rate of 8.3–8.5% this year to create momentum and strength for the new tenure and a new development phase, with renewed confidence, energy, and motivation to advance the country and achieve its two centennial strategic goals.
He underscored the importance of controlling inflation, ensuring macroeconomic stability, and maintaining major economic balances. At the same time, he called for breakthrough solutions in culture, society, environment, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.
