Vietnam, India boost IT cooperation

(VOVworld)- Vietnam will establish an information technology training centre named after the Indian IT city of Bangalore announced visiting Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan at a meeting on Monday with Shri Hans Raj Bhardwaj, Governor of the Indian State of Karnataka.

Mr. Nhan said a leading Vietnamese IT university will be assigned to develop this centre. Governor Bhardwaj voiced his support for IT cooperation with Vietnam and said he will encourage Karnataka-based IT businesses, including the Infosys group, to invest in Vietnam, especially in high-tech parks. He suggested increasing cooperation between universities and research institutes in Karnataka and their counterparts in Vietnam. The same day, Mr. Nhan visited the Indian Space Research Organization and the Institute of Public Administration in Bangalore, which is the biggest cultural, economic, and tourism centre in Karnataka. Bangolore is also home to India’s leading IT and computer technology businesses.
