(VOVWORLD) - The transnational sea route connecting Dongguan city (Guangdong, China) with Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and Kampot province (Cambodia) was inaugurated on September 29.
This is an important step in establishing a maritime logistics network linking the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macau of China with Southeast Asian countries. With a schedule of “cargo loading on Friday, departure on Sunday,” the new route offers superior efficiency in transportation time. Specifically, the transit time to Ho Chi Minh City is only 4.5 days, and to Kampot to 5.5 days, around 30% faster than traditional routes.
This is currently the only direct sea route connecting Dongguan of China with Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodia, an important route for transportation from Dongguan’s industrial clusters to access the ASEAN market.
