(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang city and the Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade co-organized the Da Nang Trade Connection and Export Promotion Conference on Thursday.

Da Nang is an economic hub of the central region and an important maritime gateway to the East Sea, serving as the eastern end of the East–West Economic Corridor. These factors make Da Nang an ideal logistics hub, catering domestic goods and transshipment across the Mekong sub-region.
The establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone and Da Nang Hi-tech Park, together with a developed telecommunications and information technology infrastructure, provides a crucial foundation for the city to attract investment and foster growth.

Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Le Hoang Tai said: “We should maximize the mechanisms, policies, and resources for the development of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. The city needs to create priority mechanisms for export businesses, promote deep-processing industries, high-tech sectors, logistics, and cross-border e-commerce, at the same time partnering with foreign-invested enterprises."
"It’s necessary to accelerate the application of information technology and digital transformation and develop e-commerce platforms, smart warehouses, and intelligent supply chain management systems, enabling Da Nang businesses to quickly access international markets and enhance productivity and export quality,” Tai added.
The conference had two sessions titled “International context and export promotion orientation for 2025–2030” and “Regional connectivity and logistics development solutions linked to the free trade zone – a new driver for central region exports.”
