Vietnam and Philippine navies strengthen cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - A delegation of the Vietnamese Navy led by Vice Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, Commander of the Vietnamese Navy, visited and worked in the Philippines from Monday to Wednesday at the invitation of Vice Admiral Jose Ma Ambrosio Q Ezpeleta, Commander of the Philippine Navy.

On Tuesday, after a welcoming ceremony chaired by the Commander of the Philippine Navy, the two sides held talks in Manila.
At the talks, both sides emphasized that their cooperative relationship has flourished, contributing positively to peace, stability, security and safety of the seas in the region and the world.
The two commanders agreed to effectively maintain existing cooperation mechanisms, while strengthening the exchange of delegations at all levels to explore the possibility of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
During the visit, the delegation paid courtesy calls to the Philippine Defense Minister and the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Philippine Armed Forces.
The visit to the Philippines by the Vietnamese Navy Commander delegation contributed to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries' armies and navies.
