British warship HMS Richmond visits Ho Chi Minh City
(VOVWORLD) -Anti-submarine frigate HMS Richmond of the British Royal Navy docked at Nha Rong Wharf, Ho Chi Minh City, on Monday, beginning a goodwill visit to the city.

Colonel Phan Anh Tuan, Deputy Commander of the 125th Brigade of Vietnam’s 2nd Naval Region, hosted a welcoming ceremony for around 185 officers, non-commissioned officers, and crew members on board the British warship that is equipped with advanced combat systems and a wide array of modern weapons.
According to the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, the visit coincides with the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam-UK Strategic Partnership, highlights a commitment to enhancing cooperation, particularly in defense and security, and reaffirms the United Kingdom’s ongoing commitment to promoting peace, stability, and global security in the Indo-Pacific region.
During the visit, the crew will pay courtesy calls to the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the 2nd Naval Region Command, and Military Region 7 Command. They will also engage in professional exchanges and training to enhance cooperation between the two navies.
