16 Vietnamese athletes will compete in 11 sports: athletics, cycling, swimming, shooting, weightlifting, canoeing, rowing, badminton, archery, boxing and judo.

The delegation's departure ceremony will take place on July 17. The two flag-bearers in the Games’ opening ceremony on July 26 in Paris are badminton player Le Duc Phat and archer Do Thi Anh Nguyet.
