(VOVworld)-Voice of Vietnam Radio held a meeting to review its performance and map out plan for the new year in Hanoi on Thursday. The national broadcaster has been successful in keeping update information on all aspect of political, economic and social life at home and abroad. It has gained various national and international press prizes. Deputy Director General Vu Hai highlights major tasks for this year, including renovation of program content and format focusing on the public: “VOV will build small and medium broadcasting stations in mountainous regions and improved frequency quality of VOV 1 News and Current Affairs program in Hanoi, more FM transmission services to Can Tho and Da Nang while holding the Asia Broadcasting Conference this year. We will ask for Prime Minister’s opinions on the expansion of our overseas correspondent network and the Northeast.”
