IUU fishing combat intensified in Quang Binh
(VOVWORLD) - The Border Guard Command of Quang Binh province is intensifying its campaign to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing from November 2-12.

The Command has deployed four working groups along with ships and boats of Squadron 2 and teams of stations and checkpoints and collaborated with the police force, Department of Fisheries, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. The forces have conducted general inspection and oversight of fishing activities throughout Quang Binh province.
The forces ban fishing vessels from leaving port if they do not follow all procedures and acquire documents, machinery and equipment according to regulations.
