VOV to customize more programs for ethnic people

(VOVWORLD) -A seminar entitled “Radio in a changing media environment” was held on Friday as part of the on-going National Radio Broadcasting Festival in Nghe An province.

Delegates analyzed difficulties and advantages in their work at local radio stations and the relation between radio and other forms of media.

The seminar’s host, VOV President Nguyen The Ky, said VOV has reinvented its programs and modernized equipment to deliver the best journalistic products. He said VOV will work closely with local radio stations to produce more interesting programs for people in remote and isolated areas: “We’ll propose the government to adopt customized mechanisms for radio and television staff, particularly for those in mountainous and ethnic regions. We should improve ourselves to improve the quality of our programs to match the habits and demands of ethnic people such as plantation techniques, environmental protection, healthcare, and cultural preservation.”

Another seminar was held on Friday to introduce the latest technology in radio and television broadcasting.
