(VOVworld) - Voice of Vietnam Radio has opened its 4th patriotic congress to honor outstanding organizations and individuals. During the event Hanoi on Friday, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Education and Communications Commission, Nguyen The Ky praised the national broadcaster as an appealing media with a large number of audience, especially in the remote and mountainous areas. He said this is an efficient communication tool to broadcast Party guidelines and State policies to listeners at home and abroad. On behalf of VOV’s 4,000 staff, Director General Nguyen Dang Tien pledged successful implementation of the Party and State’s missions: “I ask participants to communicate on the congress’ resolution to respond to VOV emulation movement launched early this year and make progress to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of Radio Voice of Vietnam and successfully completing our annual plan and the 5-year plan from 2015 to 2020.”
