(VOVworld)- On Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance hosted a seminar on deploying an Action Plan for Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) in APEC.

The event aims to prepare for the two-day APEC Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting (FCBDM) in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa province in the next two days. In addition to BEPS action plan, participants discussed minimum standards and multilateral instruments. Bui Van Nam is General Director of the General Department of Taxation: “Taking measures against base erosion and profit shifting is an important effort by developed and developing countries to ensure equality and improve collection effectiveness of taxation systems globally. That’s why base erosion and profit shifting was selected as a topic of APEC Year 2017.”
