A book on the fight against corruption

(VOVWORLD) - The Truth National Political Publishing House just published a book called "Resolutely, persistently fighting corruption and negative phenomena to contribute to building more transparent and stronger Party and State” by Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on the occasion of the 93rd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The book raises awareness and creates consensus among Party cadres, Party members, the people and the entire political system in the fight against corruption and negativity.

The book, which consists of 612 pages with nearly 100 illustrations, written in the modern journalistic style, is divided into 3 parts: issues learned from the ongoing fight against corruption and negativity in Vietnam, the importance of early prevention of corruption and negativity, and consensus.

Meeting actual needs

In his book, General Secretary Trong shares his deep theoretical thinking and profound knowledge and experience of the fight against corruption.

The book reveals Mr. Trong's foresight on the issues of Party building, anti-corruption, and national development, clarifying the Party’s theories  on the fight against corruption and negativity. With consistent thought and a creative development of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought on Party building and the fight against corruption and negativity, the General Secretary suggests practical solutions in the fight against corruption.

Nguyen Thai Hoc, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, said: "The fight against corruption and negativity has become an irreversible trend. The public now has strong confidence in the fight against corruption, especially in the Party General Secretary. The book is structured in a logical and scientific manner."

A handbook on anti-corruption

Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education Tran Thanh Lam said the book is a valuable tool for Party building and rectification.

"The book is a very special set of documents, which are scientifically arranged to make it easy to study, easy to use and easy to practice. This book will be a useful document for readers and communicators," said Lam.    

Associate Professor Doctor Le Quoc Ly, former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, believes the book strengthens trust and creates consensus among the people and the entire political system in the fight against corruption and negativity.

"This is a very valuable book. It summarizes the speeches, talks and guidelines of the General Secretary. It clearly shows the Party’s determination to fight corruption. At the same time, it shows the consensus and solidarity of the whole Party and the people under the leadership of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo and the Party General Secretary in the cause of Party building, protecting the Party, and promoting national development." said Mr. Ly.

The book is expected to be widely disseminated among Party committees and organizations. It will be a permanent document that Party members and leaders refer to in their daily work and in the fight against corruption. The book will contribute to fine-tuning mechanisms to make the fight against corruption more effective.
